Having thought of that there was a conversation through YM that made me feel quite offended. I will not tell you who this girl is because she’s also a blogger. Mind you, I don’t hate her but this conversation got me pissed off. Let’s call this girl A that stands for anonymous and I’m K that stands for Kisty.

A: ate kisty. may extra domain ka ba? lol.
K: i’m planning to buy one for myself again kaso ayaw ko pa, bakit?
A: im having problems at __________ kc
K: oh i see. well i can give you a subdomain if you want.
A: on what domain?
K: princess-love.net
A: mahaba
K: sorry kung ganun. find another domain who can host you then. ü

I don’t think she means anything by saying that but it is indeed offending on my part. You know, I don’t really mind if you think that my domain is very long. You just don’t need to point it out to me. I know it’s long, it’s actually not suitable for people who prefers long URLs. I never really intended this site offer hosting but since I bought a big package, why not share it with others instead? That is why I opened the hosting section. The moral of the story? For those who got accepted, be thankful. For those who wish to apply, there’s a lot of domains that offers free subdomain hosting but you don’t need to rub it in for the domain owner that you don’t like hers. And for the people hosted at Blogspot, you have less problems.

   haay. minsan some people talaga can be so ungrateful… eh diba pag nagaaply ka ng subdomain eh libre na nga… some people don’t know when to be mapili… naku sis, ako din maasar dyan… at i totally gets yung point mo… mahaba din ang domain name ko XD

   I think the person who told you that your domain name is too long is not in the proper position to say so..

   She’s the one who asked in the first place and then mapili pa siya.. And why can’t the person fix the problem sa domain niya? There’s nothing that can’t be fixed naman or maybe the person is too scared or shy and whatnot to tell his/her host? :|

   I used to be hosted under a person who owned a really long URL when I started out, I was perfectly fine with it since she accepted me. I don’t see the big deal of having longer names, eh di sana sa iba nalang siya mag-apply diba?
